Due to widespread flooded roadways throughout the district, power outages, and today’s forecast for more severe weather, Carthage ISD campuses will be closed on Wednesday, April 10. Please stay safe, Bulldogs!
3:50 PM UPDATE: We have begun dismissal and are loading buses. Some bus routes may be delayed in areas where flooding is present. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get all of our Bulldogs home safely this afternoon.
We are currently holding school buses on campuses due to the inclement weather. We will continue to communicate with you regarding dismissal and transportation as necessary.
We are holding car riders, as well, due to the heavy rain and lightning for the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
As we prepare for dismissal today, we want to let you know that some bus routes may be delayed in areas where flooding is present and the transportation staff may be reaching out to some parents for alternate drop-off arrangements if necessary. Libby Elementary would like to recognize March’s Star Students!
Abel Russell is a third-grader and the son of Gary and Shonda Russell. His favorite school subject is Science. Abel’s hobbies include playing with action figures, dinosaurs, and PS Kids on his tablet. He also enjoys watching educational programs about dinosaurs and other animals and playing outside.
Corie Jane Carter is a third-grade student and the daughter of Joshua and Carter. Her favorite school subjects are Reading and Math. Corie Jane’s hobbies include dancing at RPA and drawing.
Lily Rodriquez is a second-grader and the daughter of Tony and Debra Rodriguez. Her favorite school subject is English. Lily’s hobbies include cheerleading and gymnastics.
Asher Bennett is a second-grader and the son of Jonathan and Erin Bennett. His favorite school subjects are Reading and Math. Asher’s hobbies include playing with LEGOS and Mario Kart, visiting beaches, and collecting shells. He also enjoys playing with his dog, Rudy.
Beaux Hubert is a second-grader and the son of Duston and Dallas Hubert. His favorite school subject is P.E. Beaux’s hobbies include playing soccer, basketball, and riding horses. He also enjoys drawing, coloring, and being with family and friends.
Kate Samford is a second-grader and the daughter of Cody and Krista Samford. Her favorite school subject is Reading. Kate’s hobbies include softball, drawing, and playing outside. He also enjoys spending time with his family and watching movies.
Cade Overman is a third-grader and the son of D.J. and Kelly Overman. His favorite school subject is Math. Cade’s hobbies include playing computer games and playing outside.
Aiden Torres is a third-grader and the son of Joseph Sauceda and Savannah Jones. His favorite school subject is Reading. Aiden’s hobbies include playing baseball, basketball, and playing outside.

Monday, April 1 is noted on the school calendar as a Bad Weather Makeup Day. Since we have enough instructional minutes to cover the days missed so far this year for inclement weather, we do NOT need to use this as a makeup day.
