Scott Surratt with Kash Courtney for Whataburger Super Team award presentation

Carthage High School graduate Kash Courtney was presented with the prestigious Whataburger Super Team award today at Whataburger in Carthage, recognizing his exceptional performance and leadership as a student-athlete.

Courtney, who graduated high school early at the winter break to enroll at the University of Arkansas for the Spring 2025 semester, is one of only 40 Texas high school football players selected for the 2024 Whataburger Super Team. This honor, presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Whataburger, celebrates athletes who demonstrate excellence on the field and within their school communities.

“Texas high school football fans across the state nominated more than 5,000 players resulting in 300,000 votes on TexasFootball.com,” said Clayton Hackler of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. “Of all those votes, 40 outstanding athletes rose to the top to be named with this honor. Congratulations to Kash for being named to the 2024 Whataburger Super Team!”

Courtney was joined by teammates, coaches and family during the presentation ceremony held at the Carthage Whataburger earlier this afternoon.
