Carthage ISD is pleased to announce that Bart Blair has been selected as the new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Blair is a Carthage native who brings decades of in-depth experience in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting to the district administrative team.
“I am thrilled to join the Carthage ISD team and have the opportunity to serve my alma mater in this capacity,” said Blair. “I’m a proud Bulldog and really look forward to getting started in this new role very soon.”
Bart holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. He has served in financial leadership roles at a variety of organizations for over 20 years, most recently serving as a financial analyst for Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, Louisiana.
“We’re very excited about bringing Mr. Blair on board,” said Superintendent Jarrod Bitter. “His vast experience in the world of business and finance is a great fit for Carthage ISD and we are excited to welcome him back home and get him back in the red and white!”
Blair is a 1989 Carthage High School graduate and has resided in Panola County most of his life. He and his wife, Loretta, have two adult children, Carson and Jackson.
Blair will replace Kathy Worley, who is retiring after 24 years of serving Carthage ISD.
